Heidi Neilson at Carnegie Mellon University’s STUDIO for Creative Inquiry
Artist Heidi Neilson previously visited the STUDIO in November 2024 as a Steiner supported guest and returned to the STUDIO in Summer 2025 to develop kits for a future radio antenna workshop.
With Software Defined Radio, some conductive rod, and coax cable, she created 4 different antennas able to reach different bands of the of radio frequency spectrum.
CMU staff, faculty, and students came out on Tuesday June 3rd 2025 to tune into different RF bands.
